The Indian Sundarbans is home to millions of people and the region’s endangered Bengal tigers. In recent years, rising sea levels and deadly storms forced farmers to travel deep into the tigers’ forests to make a living. Hundreds of men have been killed, leaving widows impoverished and shunned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Worked closely with the producer and interview transcripts to identify and script the segments that needed animation.
- Animated a series of vignettes used throughout the documentary. The animations were based on first-person accounts of climate displacement and tiger attacks.
- Researched and developed the visual style and color palette for the animations.
- Created storyboards, rough animatics, and produced the final animations using Procreate and Procreate Dreams.
- Used Adobe After Effects to edit the animations and synchronized them with the interview audio.
- Created animated maps of the region.
- Animated the closing credits for the documentary
- Designed the documentary’s poster and landing page.
